SEVACF Partners with Other 757 Community Foundations for Spring Giving Event
The Southeast Virginia Community Foundation is pleased to annouce that we will be partnering with the Peninsula Community Foundation of Virginia, the Suffolk Foundation, and the Obici Healthcare Foundation to cohost 2015’s Give Local 757!
Give Local 757 is an online, fundraising event for the benefit of all 757 community nonprofits, which will take place on May 5-6, 2015. In it’s second year, Give Local 757 will give nonprofits a chance to receive as many online donations as possible during its 24 hours. These donations will be amplified by matching funds and prizes! We encourage local businesses to get involved by sponsoring a prize or by simply donating to the prize pool.
All you have to do to make sure your organization is eligible to receive gifts during the event is to register your nonprofit at www.givelocal757.org. Once this is done, charitable 757 residents can visit your nonprofit’s page on the Give Local 757 website and donate as much as they want, as many times as they want until the 36 hours are up!
As mentioned above, Give Local 757 is solely for the benefit of 757 nonprofits, and the hosting community foundations will receive no proceeds from the event.
