Advisors to donor-advised funds may suggest grants to be made from their respective funds to support charities of their choice at any time. However, such suggestions are considered recommendations, and the Foundation is under no legal obligation to approve them. Want to Add to Your Fund?
There are several ways to add to your fund once it’s established with SEVACF. You can:
- Make a credit card donation online
- Donate appreciated stock
- Make a planned gift
- Write a check made out to the “Southeast Virginia Community Foundation” and mail or deliver it to our office with your fund name in the memo to:

Recommend a Grant
A donor can easily recommend a grant from your fund at SEVACF just by completing the Grant Suggestion Form »
You will be notified upon receipt of your form and when the grant is transmitted.
