Six $2,000 scholarships will be awarded altogether. Two graduating seniors from each of the three Portsmouth public high schools will be chosen. The scholarship will be renewable for a total of four years as long as the student meets the following criteria: 1) maintain a 2.5 GPA at a Virginia college or university that is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Universities, 2) enroll full time with a minimum of 12 credit hours per semester, and 3) submit official transcript and fall schedule to the scholarship office by June 30th of each year for renewal consideration. Students will be selected by the scholarship committee at their high school. Each applicant must be of good character, be in the upper 20% of their class, and show financial need on the application.
